LED life is directly related to junction temperature. Each 10°C increase halves LED life. Thermal management: LED mounted to metal-core PCB, MCPCB bonded to heat sink, heat sink designed for adequate convective cooling. Manufacturing: precision flatness on heat sink mating surface for thermal contact, precision mounting holes for PCB. For high-power LEDs, integrated heat pipe or liquid cooling. Architectural lighting demands premium finish quality. Typical: Type II anodize in architectural colors (bronze, black, white), powder coat in designer colors with Pantone matching, premium coatings for outdoor UV resistance (20+ year warranty), anti-fingerprint coatings on touch-accessible surfaces. Cosmetic inspection per architectural standards.

Street lighting 20-25 year service life outdoors. Requirements: IP66 sealing (dust + powerful water spray), UV-stable powder coat (20-year warranty), corrosion resistance for coastal/industrial environments, tamper resistance (stainless fasteners, security-head screws), vibration resistance (wind, traffic). Design accommodates field maintenance access.
