Sheet Metal questions.

Unsealed enclosures: IP20 (dust only). With sealed fasteners + gasketing: IP54 (splash), IP65 (dust-tight + water spray), IP66 (high-pressure water), IP67 (temporary immersion), IP68 (continuous immersion). IP65 is straightforward; IP67 requires design attention to compression-gasket groove geometry; IP68 requires proper engineering and testing. We DFM-review for seal integrity before production.
Yes — complete assembly with PEM press-in inserts, self-clinching nuts, weld nuts, threaded studs, standoffs, cable glands, DIN rails, card guides. We install customer-supplied or we-supplied hardware depending on specification. Common PEM sizes stocked: M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 in brass and stainless. Specialty hardware ordered as needed.
Laser cutter bed: 3000 × 1500 mm max sheet size. Press brake capacity: 3000 mm bend length, 200 ton pressing force. Welding up to any size weldable assemblies. Typical enclosure range: 100 × 100 × 100 mm to 1500 × 800 × 2000 mm. Larger custom sizes by sectional fabrication.
Steel: 0.5 mm to 10 mm thick — galvanized steel (GI), cold-rolled steel (CRS), hot-rolled pickled and oiled (HRPO). Stainless: 0.5 mm to 10 mm — 304 (most common), 316/316L (marine/chemical), 430 (decorative). Aluminum: 0.5 mm to 6 mm — 5052 (best formability), 3003 (general), 1100 (pure, easiest to form), 6061-T6 (stronger but difficult to bend).
Powder coat in 2,000+ RAL colors and textures (standard). Wet paint in Pantone-matched colors (cosmetic). Anodize (aluminum only — Type II decorative or Type III hardcoat). Zinc plating (steel — corrosion protection + paint primer). Chromate conversion (aluminum — paint primer). Passivation (stainless — corrosion enhancement). Brushed #4 finish (stainless — architectural).
Standard complexity: 5–10 business days from PO to ship. Complex with multiple weldments: 10–14 days. With custom powder coat colors: +2–3 days for color matching. With silk screen logos: +2–3 days for screen preparation. Rush service (1.5× cost): cuts lead time to ~60%. Typical customer expectation: 2 weeks door-to-door for standard sheet metal enclosure including DHL shipping.
